The Union's scientific sections and working groups offer members an opportunity to work with others who share the same interests and collaborate on research, publications and projects. They propose sessions and contribute to the planning of the Union World Conference on Lung Health, and influence the future of lung heath through the governance of The Union.

The Union is divided into seven regions to provide a platform for addressing lung health and related issues from a regional perspective, allowing members to network with colleagues who face the same challenges and contribute to The Union's deep understanding of local issues.
